The Kings School offers a well-rounded education from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Although the focus of the school is as one school, the school is sub-divided into Elementary (K-7) and High School (8-12) for teaching purposes. Kindergarten to Grade 7 is further subdivided in Primary (K-3) and Intermediate (4-7). The curriculum outline will be presented here accordingly.
The Elementary curriculum has been carefully put together over a number of years to ensure that students are prepared well for the next grade. Emphasis in the Elementary years lies in providing students with a sure foundation in the core subjects of Language Arts and Mathematics, which are necessary for each of the many subjects offered in the High School.
A key aspect of Language Arts which runs right through the Elementary School is Spelling into Reading. This has the advantage of providing the students with a continuous approach to Language Arts for a number of years, and therefore enabling them to gain a solid understanding of the English language.
